BALLET OUEST DE MONTRÉAL is a professional non-profit ballet company, under the artistic direction of Claude Caron. Since 1984, Ballet Ouest’s productions have attracted more than 250,000 spectators.
In 2013, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of its production of the classic Nutcracker, Ballet Ouest launched a new adaptation signed by the artistic director, Claude Caron.
Included in the company’s repertoire are Couples, Pinocchio, Ella-The Story of Cinderella, La Valse des invalides, and most recently Le Lac où les cygnes se baignent, the centrepiece of Ballet Ouest’s 40th anniversary season.
Ballet Ouest’s mission is to create, produce and perform innovative works based on the language of classical ballet.
Ballet Ouest’s mandate is to share the experience, discovery, understanding and appreciation of the value and artistic beauty of ballet with Quebec audiences, and to provide artists and collaborators with a positive and inclusive environment conducive to the development of their art.
