(in)sight

Since 2021, (in)sight has brought together artists from across Canada who are rooted in an artistic approach that links sound and movement. (in)sight, led by Ella Steele (Winnipeg, MB) and David Lafleur (Gatineau, QC), was created to develop an innovative artistic ecosystem that brings together artists dedicated to excellence in their practices from a multitude of artistic backgrounds across Canada. Seeking to democratize and rethink the conventional codes of their primary material, Tap dance, (in)sight adopts an authentic and current vision of its heritage in order to create and disseminate works that defend and promote their tradition and its history. The collective brings together collaborating artists to stimulate dance research, creation and production.
