La danse sur les routes du Québec (La DSR), in collaboration with the prestigious Aerowaves Europe network, is pleased to announce the opening of its third call for projects for the transmission of a Quebec choreographic work in an in situ context. Supported by the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ), this initiative will allow a choreographic signature from here to shine in Ireland in Spring 2027.
A reciprocity project bearing fruit Initiated thanks to the privileged reciprocity links developed since 2023 between La DSR and Aerowaves Europe, this residency format has already proven all its artistic relevance. In 2025, choreographer Elie-Anne Ross inaugurated the project by brilliantly transmitting her piece FLUX to students and young dancers. The following year, in 2026, it was Emmanuel Jouthe’s turn to fly to Portugal to adapt his work VEGA, offering an invaluable transmission experience to the local up-and-coming generation. Building on these successes, the present call proposes a company, collective, or independent artist from Quebec to set down their bags in Limerick, Ireland, from March 28 to April 18, 2027.
The project in brief The selected artist or company will have the opportunity to work with English-speaking young professional performers based in Ireland (recruited via a call for applications managed on site). The artist will be required to teach in English. The goal is to adapt an existing work from their repertoire to the in situ context (out of the walls, light technical conditions, indoors), lasting 20 to 30 minutes. The final presentation of this work will be on April 14, 2027, as the official opening of the Spring Forward Festival, a major international showcase that brings together each year dozens of presenters members of Aerowaves and professionals from around the world.
