Call for submissions for Parcours Danse Satellite

You have a young audience dance work ready to tour and it’s time to present it to artistic directors? Submit your project to Parcours Danse Satellite!

Parcours Danse Satellite, in collaboration with la Maison Théâtre, will be an event of ten yound audience showcases in theatre and dance organized over two days. 4 dance showcases will be selected by our jury and will be presented between 6 and 8 October 2021.

Selected companies or independent choreographers must agree to:

  • Make their team available for filming at the Maison Théâtre between August 30 and September 17 according to the availability of the filming team, La DSR and the artistic team;
  • Have a team member available to chat live during the event on October 6 or 7, 2021;
  • Renew its La DSR membership for the 2021–2022 season;
  • Register at least one project representative for FOCUS Québec / a Parcours Danse Satellite event at the regular rate;
  • Register at least one representative for Parcours Danse from November 30 to December 3 at the regular rate;
  • Once a project is selected by the jury, La DSR will determine with the artists how best to adapt the project for the recording, based on available resources from both parties.

La danse sur les routes agrees to:

  • Organize an environmentally friendly event focused on sustainable development;
  • Honour and respect the cultural specificities of artistic practices;
  • Ensure artistic applications are assessed by culturally representative peers;
  • Provide services in a spirit of openness and attentive listening, as well as empowerment and self-determination of Indigenous and diverse artists or artists in equity groups;
  • Participate in the development of artistic practices and efforts to bring about change in the world of dance.

Other details

  • The selection of pieces will reflect as much as possible a balance between dance styles, genres and equity issues.
  • Possibility to submit several projects.
  • Deadline for submission: May 24, 2021 at 5 pm
