Virginie Brunelle celebrates raw emotion. Through bitter poetry, the choreographer concerns herself with the idea of incompleteness and the fragments that may remain between two people, a sustained struggle seemingly frozen in time like pain or like a memory. While contrasting both fleeting and immutable connections and reference points, an examination of group dynamics, of family and self emerges. Virginie Brunelle proves that pain – that dangerous substance gnawing at contemporary society – can be used as an emotional bridge flowing between her six dancers and the public.
