Description
“Untitled I + III” explores the notion of human vulnerability as a resilient force. Through the repetition of the choreographic gesture, the body and the mind surrender, altering each other. The performers, naked and exposed just like the stage on which they stand, vigorously engage in a variety of movements and repetitive sequences. Beyond the performance, the complete abandonment of the three men gradually reveals their resilience and that of the audience. Through its carefully portrayed humanity, “Untitled I + III transcends space and time to make way for experience.”
This work has won the 2018 Hong Kong International Choreography Award for Best Choreography.
A 40-minute solo version of the work, performed by François Richard, is also available: Untitled I.
