  • A true choreographic jewel, les petites formes captures five moments in the journey of a choreographer who has shaped the evolution of Canadian dance.

In a format that encourages closeness between dancers and spectators, this new composition re-visits the defining works in the development of Ginette Laurin’s unique gestural vocabulary. Made up of solos, duets and a quartet culled from the classics of O Vertigo’s repertoire, the program plunges the audience into the poetic worlds of Déluge (1994), La Vie Qui Bat (1999), Luna (2001), Passare (2004), and Étude # 3 pour cordes et poulies (2007).

From the lyrical effervescence of Déluge to the states of disarticulation explored in Étude # 3 pour cordes et poulies, Ginette Laurin’s work stands out by its astonishing ability to remain relevant over time.
