  • Hell is defined by our shortcomings, our failures, our falls. Sous la nuit solitaire navigates across the agitated waves of existence. In these depths, beyond hierarchies, but united, there is movement through the darkness, the obscurity. For despite the omnipresence of violence, the flame of hope is not snuffed out in the night. Seven performers take on this slow march, inspired by the fantastic engravings that Gustave Doré made in the 19th century to illustrate the underworld imagined by Dante (14th century), author of The Divine Comedy. Actors and dancers become the speakers of a singular stage language in which the harmony of the word fuses with the poetry of the body.
