Suites Perméables gives birth to questions about intimacy, being on the edges of a physical relationship. In each culture, physical distance is (unconsciously) established between two people, our interactions defined by an invisible layer-a personal space-that enables each individual to experience the world, to breathe, to sweat and, above all, to feel. Set against an uncommon backdrop, this choreography has a deep desire to move spectators out of their comfort zone, to shake up their ideas and push them into an unexpected interaction with the other in a hidden dimension. Suites Perméables is a glance tossed, a hand extended, something whispered in your ear. The dancers’ bodies, so malleable, vibrate and protect themselves from the outside world, offering a presence that is both gentle and disruptive.
