  • RIGEL & BETELGEUSEis the story of a singular pair that came from nowhere and fatefully committed to the departure of one or the other. This outdoor performance unfolds in a space exalted by a landscape anchored in calm, openness and contemplation. R&B modulates spatialization and rhythm according to the space it will discover. For example, moving back and forth in a narrow space such as a wharf or deploying as much as possible in a large park.

The moving features of this unusual pair are directly related to their costumes, inspired by the painting Les Amants de Magritte. The dancers are thus depersonalized in a desire to make disappear the singularity of an individual to evoke more the universal and the non-gendered, during a «danse-poursuit» in which everyone could recognize himself. The hidden side of the characters allows a game of hide-and-seek between the two dancers without knowing who is who, in a written and improvised gesture.
